Arlington, Texas (May 24, 2024) – North Texas SC (5-1-4, 22 points) obtained its fifth MLS NEXT Pro victory after defeating Real Monarchs (2-7-1, 8 points) 2-1 from Choctaw stadium on Friday night. Pedrinho and FC Dallas Homegrown Tarik Scott were on the scoresheet tonight for North Texas SC.

Pedrinho scored his third goal of the season by lobbing the ball over the goalkeeper in the 36th minute after being set up by Tomas Pondeca inside the box. The Brazilian leads the team in goal contributions with seven (three goals and four assists).

HOMEGROWN LEADS THE WAY

FC Dallas Homegrown forward Tarik Scott scored his team-leading fourth goal of the season. Pedrinho played Scott into space and he struck the ball towards the back post to put it out of reach past the keeper. Scott now has six goals scored all-time for North Texas SC.

With tonight's 2-1 win over Real Monarchs, North Texas SC finished May with a 3-1-0 record. North Texas improves to 11-5-7 when playing in the month of May in all-competitions.
