FRISCO, Texas (Aug. 29, 2026) - FC Dallas Homegrown forward Benjamin “Benji” Flowers has been called up to the Mexico U-16 Men’s National Team for the Torneo Internacional Fuerzas Básicas from Sept. 1-13 in Mexico City, Mexico. This marks Flowers’ first call up to the México youth national team. Flowers is eligible to represent Mexico and the United States.
Flowers became the 49th Homegrown signing in FC Dallas history. He joined the FC Dallas Academy in 2021 at age 10 and is the youngest player to sign a professional contract with FC Dallas.
This season, Flowers has trained with the FC Dallas first team and has appeared in nine matches for North Texas SC in MLS NEXT Pro. On March 21, 2026, Flowers became the second-youngest player to play for North Texas in club history, and became the 38th FC Dallas Academy player to make his debut in MLS NEXT Pro. In June, he was named to the MLS NEXT All-Star game and played 45 minutes for Team West.
With the FC Dallas Academy, Flowers has competed in the MTU Cup in Germany (2025), Copa Cronos in Guadalajara (2023, 2024), the Generation adidas Cup (2026) and the Dallas Cup (2023-25).
