Dallas earns its fourth shutout of the season

Frisco, Texas (Sept. 27, 2020) – FC Dallas’ (5-3-5) earns its fourth clean sheet of the season with a scoreless draw against Óscar Pareja’s Orlando City SC at Toyota Stadium Sunday night.

Game Summary
First Half:

  • 10’ – Santiago Mosquera’s right-footed shot from the six-yard box is saved by Orlando’s Pedro Gallese following a through ball from Jara. 
  • 27’ – Chris Mueller connects on a cross from Mauricio Pereyra and
  • 34’ – Ryan Hollingshead’s header is saved by Gallese following a cross from Ricaurte after Jara’s attempt from inside the box is deflected by Orlando’s defense. 

Second Half:

  • 52’ – Maurer makes a diving save to deny Nani who fires a right-footed shot from outside the box. 
  • 79’ – Tanner Tessmann fires a long-range shot and forces a save from Gallese after an Orlando clearance doesn’t make it past Tessmann. 
  • 80’ – 80’ – Maurer pushes Júnior Urso’s shot from outside the box out wide to keep the game scoreless after Nani makes a run on the right flank.
