Top 10 Moments From North Texas SC's Inaugural Season | Part Three

FRISCO - December 6, 2019 marks the one-year anniversary of the unveiling of North Texas Soccer Club. It was an incredible inaugural season for the team who ended the year as the first-ever USL League One Champions. With the anniversary just two days away, the countdown continues of the Top 10 moments from year one of North Texas SC.

#6 - Eric Quill Named Coach of the Year

After a dominant season for North Texas where they finished 10 points clear at the top of the table, Eric Quill was named as the USL League One Coach of the Year in his first year as a head coach. Quill’s North Texas team lead the league with 56 goals and was the only team to have multiple players reach double digit goals. Under Quill’s stewardship North Texas was also strong at the back and were tied for the lead league with 14 clean sheets on the year.

#5 - Arturo Rodriguez Captures MVP Award

After a stunning debut season, Arturo Rodriguez captured the USL League One MVP award to culminate an exceptional award season for the Mexican born midfielder. The MVP award was proceeded by the USL League One Young Player of the Year, the USL League One Assists Champion, and a spot on the USL League One First Team of the year. Rodriguez was the definition of an all action midfielder, leading the league in assists and chances created, while also providing key defensive contributions coming in the top three in the league with duels and tackles.
