LINEUP NOTES, pres. by UnitedHealthCare: FC Dallas vs. Sporting Kansas City | 10.6.19

FRISCO, Texas- In the final match of the regular season, FC Dallas returns to face Sporting Kansas City with the goal of clinching a playoff spot.   Let's dive into today's Lineup Notes, presented by UnitedHealthCare.

MOSQUERA RETURNS TO THE ATTACK

Santiago Mosquera returns to the wing this week after being a mid-game sub on multiple occasions over the past few matches. Mosquera returns adding a new dynamic to the attack, with Zdenek Ondrasek and Michael Barrios finishing out the top of the field. The attack and starting fast is a focus heading in to the match.

LIMIT SPORTING KANSAS CITY OPPORTUNITIES

Sporting Kansas City has multiple players FC Dallas will need to limit and shut down on the offense. Reggie Cannon, Ryan Hollingshead, Reto Ziegler, and Matt Hedges will need to play high and respond quick to an offense that is able to capitalize on opportunities. Jesse Gonzalez will also be looking to finish the regular season with another shutout, and will look to continue to build his save record when needed.

BALANCED MIDFIELD

Jesus Ferreira continues to hold his spot as a 10, while we see Brandon Servania and Bryan Acosta sitting further back to support a defensive pressure. Jacori Hayes and Paxton Pomykal are on the bench as potential subs adding depth and energy to the midfield if necessary.
