FRISCO, Texas- North Texas continues to have a strong team performance with three players named to the USL League One Team of the Week roster for Week 25. Forward Richard Danso, and midfielder Arturo Rodriguez were named to Team of the Week while forward Ronaldo Damus was named to the bench.
Midfielder Arturo Rodriguez found himself on the Team of the Week again for the seventh time this season after becoming a key player in the North Texas offense. Rodriguez scored the winning goal for North Texas Soccer Club at the end of the first half in stoppage time off a free kick. Rodriguez also helped keep pressure on through the second half until the whistle blew. Rodriguez recorded two goals, one assist and was credited with nine chances created across two victories for NTSC that sealed the League One regular season title.
Forward Richard Danso also had a performance worthy of his Team of the Week appearance scoring the first goal for North Texas Soccer Club in response to the opponents first goal. Danso scored after recovering his own rebound and finding the perfect opportunity to score. This is Danso's first appearance on the Team of the Week roster this season. Danso had one goal, one assist and completed 57 of 66 passes and 8 of 15 dribbles across North Texas’ pair of wins against Richmond and South Georgia.
Forward Ronaldo Damus made it on to the bench this week, making it his fourth appearance on team of the week. Damus has won Player of the Week twice this season as well. Damus is on the bench this week thanks to creating opportunities for North Texas due to his placement around the field.
