Minneapolis, MN – FC Dallas battles to the end but was unable to find an equalizer in the 1-0 defeat against Minnesota United FC at Allianz Field Saturday night.

Game Summary

First Half:

  • 3’ Dominique Badji dodged his defender and weaved his way into the box but wasn’t able to send a firing shot past Vito Mannone who made an easy save. 
  • 6’ Reggie Cannon denied Darwin Quintero inside the box after FC Dallas was unable to clear a cross. 
  • 20’ Michael Barrios received a great through ball from Brandon Servania but Mannone managed to tip the ball over the bar.
  • 40’ – A brilliant piece of skill by Barrios allowed him to get to the byline before his cross was cut out by Ike Opara.
  • 44’ – Ryan Hollingshead fired a shot from outside the box but missed to the left following a corner. 

Second Half:

  • 65’ Bryan Acosta fires a hard-driven shot well outside the box but Mannone is alert and pushes it out. 
  • 69’ Brandon Servania found space outside the box and sent a curling shot towards the goal, but his swerving volley was parried by Mannone.
  • 90’+1’ – Jan Gregus found space outside the box and his shot was parried by Jesse Gonzalez right to Mason Toye who slotted home Minnesota’s game-winner.
  • 90’+7’ – After a VAR review, FC Dallas was awarded a penalty, but Reto Ziegler’s shot was pushed wide by Mannone in the final minute of the match.
