FRISCO, Texas- FC Dallas Women’s U-15 team has been dominant so far in the playoffs, and that continued in the final game of the group stage. With qualification on the line, FC Dallas demolished Charlotte Soccer Academy’s U-15s 5-0 which puts FC Dallas in the quarterfinals.
The undoubted star of the show was FC Dallas striker Taylor Zdrojewski. She spearheaded an unstoppable attack which tore apart Charlotte Soccer Academy. Zdrojewski scored the first in the 11th minute to set FC Dallas on their way. She was at the double at the 23rd minute, and finished her hat trick in the 29th minute. Charlotte might have thought Zdrojewski was done after an 18 minute hat trick, but she added a 4th in the 35th minute to cap off a remarkable goal scoring display.
Zdrojewski was subbed out in the 50th minute, and Charlotte would have been relieved to see her head off the field, but FC Dallas continued to press and were rewarded in the 79th when Taylor Cheatham, who had come on earlier for Zdrojewski, added the icing on the cake, starting the celebrations for FC Dallas.
The U-15 team have now scored 13 unanswered goals in the group stage. Zdrojewski has been unstoppable with 7 goals, with Nia Chacon and Taylor Cheatham scoring 2 a piece as well. The U-15 have rotated keepers at half time each game, and Drew Stover and Olivia Ramey have combined to keep the ball out of the net for all 240 minutes of playoff play.
The FC Dallas U-15 Women will look to continue their winning ways on Friday June 28th when they take on Cincinnati Development Academy U-15 Women, and off the back of two 5-0 victories they will feel confident they can move on to the semifinals.
