Madison, Wisc. (June 22, 2019) – Ronaldo Damus opened the scoring with his league-leading seventh goal of the season but North Texas SC concede three second-half goals in just its second League One loss.

Game Summary:

First Half:

  • 15’ – Ronaldo Damus opened the scoring with a header from a corner and tied Ricardo Pepi in the USL League One Golden Boot race with seven goals.
  • 28’ Carlos Avilez made a big one-on-one save against Dom Smart but the forward was whistle offside anyway.
  • 33’ – Don Smart levelled the match at 1-1 with a close-range rebound shot after Carlos Avilez made the initial save.
  • 40’ – Carlos Avilez made an important diving save down to his right to keep the game tied.

Second Half:

  • 48’ Thomas Roberts attempted a left-footed shot from outside the box but it ended up wide of the far-post.
  • 64’ – Don Smart scored his second goal of the game with a powerful right-footed finish into the top corner to give Forward Madison the lead.
  • 77’ – Josiel Nunez put Madison 3-1 up with a left-footed finish into the bottom corner.
  • 84’ – J.C. Banks scored Madison’s fourth and final goal with a breakaway.
