FRISCO - North Texas SC players Ricardo Pepi and Dante Sealy have been named to USL League One's Team of the Week for Week 10 for their performances in Saturday's 3-0 win over Richmond Kickers and the club's 3-2 defeat to Toronto FC II last Wednesday.
Forward Ricardo Pepi scored one goal in both of North Texas SC's games in Week 10 of the inaugural League One season. Last Wednesday, Pepi scored North Texas' first goal of the game in the first half of the 3-2 defeat to Toronto FC II--the club's first-ever competitive loss. He also scored in the team's second match of the week with a beautiful strike from outside the box against Richmond Kickers on Saturday night to bring his goal tally up to seven on the season--three more than anyone else in League One. This is Pepi's fourth Team of the Week inclusion after having previously been named to the league's best XI in Weeks 1, 3 and 8.
Dante Sealy earned his first Team of the Week honor with a standout performance in the 3-0 win over the Richmond Kickers. Sealy was directly involved in all three goals, scoring the opener with a tap-in at the back post before turning provider to assist Ricardo Pepi and David Rodriguez in the team's second and third goals of the night. Sealy's 27th minute tap-in was his first-ever professional goal and propelled him to his first Team of the Week award.
