FRISCO - North Texas SC midfielders Arturo Rodriguez and Tanner Tessmann have been named to USL League One's Team of the Week for their goal-scoring heroics in the club's 4-1 come-from-behind win over Orlando City B on Saturday at Toyota Stadium.
Rodriguez was arguably the star of the show as North Texas mounted an impressive comeback to secure its fifth win in a row. The midfielder registered two assists and scored a penalty during a 20-minute period that saw North Texas score four unanswered goals to earn his second Team of the Week inclusion of the season.
Tessmann had an eventful game on Saturday as he moved from the forward position that he had maintained in his first two USL League One starts into his more favored box-to-box midfield role. The FC Dallas Academy product completed 47 of 56 passes, won 9 of 14 duels (including all three of his aerial duels) and scored his first professional goal which ignited North Texas SC's offense into its best showing of the season. This is Tessmann's first Team of the Week inclusion.
