CHESTER, Pa. - FC Dallas looks to carry the road momentum into Pennsylvania as they face the Philadelphia Union for the lone meeting of 2019.
FCD announced just before rosters were submitted this evening that Pablo Aranguiz, Jesse Gonzalez and Carlos Gruezo did not travel and are unavailable for tonight's match after violating a team policy. In addition, midfielder Bryan Acosta will miss the match after picking up an ankle sprain during training this week and Santiago Mosquera is out with an illness.
In their places, Thomas Roberts will make his first MLS start on the left wing, Jacori Hayes returns to the starting lineup in the midfield alongside Paxton Pomykal and Edwin Cerrillo and Jimmy Maurer makes his first MLS start of the season after starting North Texas SC's inaugural match a week ago in Frisco. The veteran goalkeeper made two saves in a 2-0 win last season over the Union.
BARRIOS TAKES SECOND
With his 92nd consecutive appearance tonight, Michael Barrios will surpass Joel Lindpere for second all-time in MLS history for uninterrupted appearances by a field player. Chris Klein holds the field player title with 141 consecutive appearances and New York Red Bulls' goalkeeper Luis Robles holds the all-time mark with 183 straight. Goalkeepers David Ousted (113) and Kevin Hartman (112 and 93) also hold higher overall totals than Barrios.
