FC Dallas and the Revs face off for the fifth time in a home opener
FRISCO – FC Dallas’ first Major League Soccer match at Toyota Stadium in 2019 will be against the New England Revolution on Saturday, March 2, at 3:30 p.m. CT, presented by Toyota.
FC Dallas is 13-4-6 in home openers all-time, including an unbeaten record since 2010. FC Dallas is 11-10-2 all-time against New England Revolution in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area and 18-23-3 all-time in league matches.
The two franchises have met twice before in an FC Dallas home opener. New England defeated Dallas, 1-0, on March 28, 1997 at the Cotton Bowl, making it one of the only four losses FC Dallas has suffered in home-opening matches. FC Dallas beat the Revs, 2-1, on March 18, 2017, at Toyota Stadium.
New England has hosted FC Dallas at two of their home openers. They defeated FC Dallas 2-0 on May 11, 2002 and 2-1 on April 4, 2009 at Gillette Stadium.
FC Dallas ended the 2018 season with 57 points after posting a 16-9-9 record and a 10-2-5 record at Toyota Stadium.
