FRISCO - FC Dallas has made some big changes this offseason already and they have the chance to make some additions through Stage 2 of the Re-Entry Draft on Friday. The only player from 2018's roster that Dallas can lose in the draft is Maynor Figueroa.
Here are five names that could make sense for FCD.
1. Stephen Sunday - M - Real Salt Lake
Stephen started 16 games in the midfield for RSL last season and could provide more depth at the position after the trade of Victor Ulloa. Stephen may not stuff the stat sheet, but he will do the dirty work in the midfield that could help win some games.
2. Jack McBean - F - Colorado Rapids
McBean started 13 games for Colorado last season, registering two goals. McBean scored his first MLS goal in 2011, but is still only 23 years of age and can be had at a reasonable price.
3. Luis Solignac - F - Chicago Fire
Solignac struggled last season, not scoring a goal in 11 appearances, but he has proven to be able to do some damage in the league.
4. Jonathan Campbell - D - Chicago Fire
Campbell has hit the 1,000-minute threshold in each of his first three seasons with the Fire and at 25 years old and as a strong prospect stuck in the up-and-down nature of the Fire the last few seasons, could be worth a pick to see if a change of scenery does him good.
5. Josh Yaro - D - Philadelphia Union
One of the highest-touted defenders in the 2016 SuperDraft, Yaro played in 17 games his rookie season before suffering injuries in his sophomore and junior campaigns, never re-gaining form for the Union. It's no guarantee that Yaro will become a full-fledged MLS defender, but with a Generation adidas contract to his name and therefore not counting against the salary cap, it's a chance that Dallas could take to see what the defender still has.
