COMMERCE CITY, Colo. - FC Dallas loses to the Colorado Rapids 2-1 Sunday afternoon at Dicks’ Sporting Goods Park.

First Half:

  • 1’ Michael Barrios tests Tim Howard early with a near-post shot from a tight angle.
  • 12’ Roland Lamah attempts a shot from just outside the box but it takes a small deflection and ends up wide of the goal.
  • 18’ – Maxi Urruti scores the opening goal after getting on the end of Dominique Badji’s cutback from the end-line and tapping in from close range.
  • 45’ Dominique Badji nearly scores against his former club after latching on to a long-ball but his shot narrowly misses the far-post.

Second Half:

  • 67’ – Michael Barrios capitalizes on a defensive error and sends a low cross towards Maxi Urruti but Colorado is able to clear.
  • 71’ Santiago Mosquera forces a save from Tim Howard after combining with Maxi Urruti and finding space in the box.
  • 64’ Jesse Gonzalez makes an easy save from Marlon Hairston’s lofted cross.
  • 77’ Matt Hedges makes an important defensive block to stop Yannick Boli’s goal-bound shot.
  • 80’ – Cole Basset levels the game for Colorado when he directed Enzo Martinez’s driven cross passed Jesse Gonzalez and into the back of the net.
  • 84’ – Tommy Smith puts Colorado a goal up with a header from a corner despite Jesse Gonzalez getting his fingertips to the ball.
  • 87’ – Santiago Mosquera almost ties the game late on but his shot is blocked on the line by Axel Sjöberg.
