ACADEMY: Results for Boys' and Girls' Academy Teams From Weekend of October 6-7

FRISCO - The Boys' Academy teams had a busy weekend on the road, while the Girls' Academy teams dominated at home. Check out the results below: 

Boys' Academy:

  • U-12s: The U-12s split squad played to a win and a draw in Houston vs. Rise Soccer Club. 
  • U-13s: The U-13s maintained control of the game in their shutout win, 5-0, over the Houston Dynamo Youth U-13s. 
  • U-14s: The team dominated the Houston Dynamo Youth U-14s by taking the lead early and retaining momentum to ensure an 8-0 victory.

Next Week: FC Dallas U-12 North will play Tigres San Antonio U-12 in a doubleheader at home on Saturday October 13. The U-13 and U-14 teams will travel to Tomball to take on the Texans Houston SC U-13 and U-14 on Saturday, October 13. The U-15, U-17, and U-19 Boys' Academy teams have a break between games before they head to Colorado to meet the Colorado Rapids U-15, U-17, and U-19s on October 20 . For more information, visit the U.S. Soccer Development Academy website. 

Girls' Academy: 

  • U-14s: The team sealed the win in the first half scoring 4 goals before halftime, two goals came from Madison Stormberg. 
    On Sunday, the team didn't concede any goals but were not able to score any goals either, the U-14s settled for a draw against Tophat. 
  • U-15s: Taylor Zdrojewski scored a goal in the 2" minute kicking off a scoring spree, the team gained momentum early to seal the win over the United Futbol Academy. 
    The U-15s suffered a tough loss of 3-1 against Tophat at home on Sunday, they were able to score one goal to get a point on the board. 
  • U-17s: After a scoreless first half, the U-17s were able to score three goals in the second half, two of which came courtesy of Samiah Phiri. 
    Samiah Phiri scored her third goal of the weekend against Tophat on Sunday, accompanied by a goal from Morganne Eikelbarner to win the game 2-1. 
  • U-19s: The team dominated the visiting team with back to back goals from Maya McCutcheon and 4 goals by Sydney Richards in the 8-0 shut-out win. 
    The U-19s lost to Tophat on Sunday with Sydney Richards scoring the lone goal to prevent a shutout at home.
