Pomykal came into the match in the 41st minute, replacing Sebastian Soto, who scored the first two goals of the match.
The U.S. U-19s drew Venezuela 2-2 in its match. FC Dallas' Bryan Reynolds made an appearance off the bench.
The U-20 team will face the U-19s on Sunday at 3:30PM in both teams second match, before finishing the group stage on Tuesday.
