FRISCO - FC Dallas' injury report has grown this week ahead of Saturday's match vs. Minnesota United FC. Here's who's in and who's out for the second meeting of the year against the Loons.
MINNESOTA UNITED FC
OUT: Sam Cronin (head), Ethan Finlay (right ACL), Kevin Molino (left ACL), Maximiliano (right knee)
QUESTIONABLE: Darwin Quintero (right calf strain)
The biggest hit to Minnesota's injury report could be leading goal scorer Darwin Quintero. The striker has seven goals in his last eight games and if he's unable to go in Texas, it could be a big break for FCD. Midfielders Ethan Finlay and Kevin Molino remain sidelined with ACL injuries, as does Maximiliano with a knee injury. Sam Cronin has yet to appear this season.
After starting 10 of Minnesota's first 12 matches, Jerome Thiesson comes off the injury report for the visitors this week. He hasn't appeared for the Loons since May 20.
OUT: Francis Atuahene (left calf strain), Kris Reaves (left foot stress fracture), Reto Ziegler (suspended)
QUESTIONABLE: Santiago Mosquera (left hamstring strain)
A few weeks after Santiago Mosquera's hamstring strain in Houston, the midfielder returned to training this week and has been upgraded to questionable for this weekend's match vs. Minnesota. Unfortunately, three others replaced him on the unavailable list for Saturday.
Francis Atuahene strained his left calf and will be out at least this week, while Kris Reaves aggravated a stress fracture in his left foot this week in training and is expected to miss a few weeks' time. Reto Ziegler is also unavailable this weekend after a late red card in Seattle last week.
