FRISCO - FC Dallas returns home for a celebration this evening as the San Jose Earthquakes visit the newly-renovated Toyota Stadium, which will be completely open for the first time since 2015. As Oscar Pareja goes for his 100th MLS win, here's the lineup he's putting out to reach the century mark vs. the Quakes.
After an early switch last week in KC to a 4-4-1-1 look with Michael Barrios up top and Tesho Akindele on the wing, Dallas will go back to the same formation for tonight's tilt with San Jose. Barrios utilized his speed on the counter to score his first of the season and his first professional hat trick last week, while Maxi Urruti provided the creative connection playing underneath the Colombian.
This is just the second time this season Pareja has gone with the same XI in back-to-back games, the other coming in a 1-1 home draw vs. Portland after a 3-0 result over Seattle a week earlier.
Marquinhos Pedroso will make his first home start after his MLS debut last week on the road in KC. The left back looks to continue to grow into his role alongside Reto Ziegler on the left half of Dallas' back four. This is the first time since early June that FCD has started the same back line in back-to-back league matches.
Midseason additions Dominique Badji and Pablo Aranguiz will not make their FCD debuts at home tonight, both being held out of the 18-man roster. Badji arrived midweek from Senegal and had two full training sessions with the club, while Aranguiz made an early week trip to his native Chile to obtain his work Visa to officially be added to Dallas' roster. With the heavy travel for both, they'll get a weekend of rest and be fully available for next week's trip to Seattle.
