Pomykal Servania Call-Up

Paxton Pomykal and Brandon Servania Depart for US U-20 Camp

FC Dallas pair represent two of the seven midfielders called in to camp

FRISCO – FC Dallas’ Paxton Pomykal and Brandon Servania have been called in to a U.S. Under-20 Men’s National Team Camp in Raleigh, N.C. running through Sunday, July 22.

Pomykal, 18, was also recently named to the annual Homegrown Game, slated for July 31, at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Training Ground (7 PM CT | UDN, Twitter.com). The 15th Homegrown Player in club history, Pomykal played eight minutes in FCD’s 3-1 win vs. the Chicago Fire at Toyota Stadium this past Saturday. He has amassed 255 minutes in six appearances for the first team since signing in September of 2016.

Servania, 19, signed as FCD’s 19th Homegrown player on January 3, 2018. The midfielder has appeared eight times while on loan with USL side Tulsa Roughnecks this season, totaling 518 minutes. Along with Pomykal, Servania was a member of the FC Dallas U16 Academy side that brought home the 2016 U.S. Soccer Development Academy National Championship and the U18 team that captured the club’s first Gordon Jago Dallas Cup Super Group title in 2017.

With the recent news that the Concacaf Under-20 Championship will be played at IMG Academy from Nov. 1-21, U.S. U20 head coach Tab Ramos and the Youth National Team coaching staff are continuing to adjust to the shortened cycle calendar. The tournament, which will qualify four nations for the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland, will feature all 34 Concacaf U20 member associations for the first time in the history of the competition.
