STANDINGS: FC Dallas Remains Tied for First After Week Off from MLS Action

FRISCO - FC Dallas, along with 10 other teams, had the week off from MLS action in Week 16. FCD remains tied for first in the Western Conference with 29 points.

FCD will look to stay atop the conference this weekend when they face the New York Red Bulls on Saturday. The Red Bulls are in fourth place in the Eastern Conference.

The Red Bulls are one of the few teams who played last week. They defeated the Seattle Sounders 2-1 at home. Daniel Royer and Bradley Wright-Phillips found the back of the net for the Red Bulls. Seattle remained in 10th place in the Western Conference with the loss.

Sporting Kansas City, who is tied for first with FCD, will host the Houston Dynamo. Sporting has not lost a match since April 28.

Third-place LAFC will play Columbus Crew SC at home on Saturday. LAFC has not lost a match at home this season in MLS-play.

Vancouver is just one point back of LAFC in the standings and will head to Philadelphia this weekend. Philadelphia has dropped two games in a row.

Real Salt Lake, sitting in fifth, will host the San Jose Earthquakes. Real Salt Lake is 6-1 at home this season and San Jose has only recorded two points in their last six matches.

Portland is tied with RSL in the table and has played two less games. They will face Atlanta United on the road. Atlanta has the most points in the league, tallying 33 points in 16 games.

The eighth-place Galaxy do not have a game this week and will return to action on June 30 in San Jose.

Minnesota United FC is four points behind LA and will look to pick up some points this week. They will face last-place Colorado on the road. Both of Colorado’s wins this season have been at home this season. Minnesota's 1-6 record on the road is the second worst in the conference.
