ON LOAN: Jesus Ferreira Makes Return to Field, Adonijah Reid and Jordan Cano Suit Up in USL

FRISCO — As FC Dallas prepared and defeated the Los Angeles Galaxy 3-2 on Saturday, three players on loan had USL games.

Jesus Ferreira, recovering from sports hernia surgery, suited up for the first time this season for Tulsa Roughnecks FC twice last week. The 17-year-old became the youngest player to suit up in Tulsa history last Wednesday coming off the bench in a 1-1 draw against Reno 1868 FC and contributed one shot on goal. He started on Saturday and played 68 minutes in a 5-1 loss vs. Phoenix Rising FC.

Adonijah Reid started both games for Ottawa Fury FC last week, he played 66 minutes in Monday’s 1-0 win against Penn FC.

In Saturday’s game against Atlanta United 2, Ottawa won 2-0 and Reid helped set up the team’s first goal after making a nice move to the end line. He also had a team-high three chances created.

Jordan Cano did not receive any minutes in OKC Energy FC’s match on Wednesday, but he was on the 18-man roster. Cano will likely have a role with the first team this weekend against Vancouver with center back Reto Ziegler unavailable to play after he was given a red card against the Galaxy.
