DALLAS- The FC Dallas U13s became Dallas Cup Champions after a victory of 5-0 to Rayados McAllen U13s. It was a long day for both Texas teams as they would face each other in the final match but only one would be lucky enough to win the first place.
“Personally, it’s the first time I play in the Dallas Cup,” U13s head coach Peter Luccin said. “It’s a great sensation for the boys because this is the first time they play Dallas Cup. We know that just a few players could win Dallas Cup, so we represent FC Dallas. The boys played amazing throughout the whole tournament.”
It took just two minutes into the game when FC Dallas U13s made a statement that this was home. Tarik Scott would go for the goal and scored the first one of the day. In the 16th minute, FC Dallas would get a corner kick that Diego Hernandez would execute, finding Nolan Norris right in the center and giving FC Dallas a lead of two goals.
Just four minutes later, Jordan Jones who was right in the middle and inside the 18-yard box would follow through with a curved ball right into the net, scoring the third goal of the night.

In the second half, FC Dallas would come back with a lot of confidence. A lot of substitutions took place and everyone was able to play throughout the tournament since they had their semifinal match early in the morning.
“This is what FC Dallas is doing, we want to make sure that everybody is involved,” said Luccin. “We keep thinking about development because then on Monday we go back to practice. The overall tournament is going to help the boys to keep developing, to keep playing better and to keep growing. That is why everyone has to be involved, we are FC Dallas, we are a family.”
In the 47th minute, Rayados McAllen goalkeeper would save the first attempt from FC Dallas attack, but Nighte Pickering would find the rebound scoring the fourth goal of the day.
