FC Dallas Signs Homegrown Alan "AlanAvi" Avila as Club's Official eMLS Athlete

Avila played in the FC Dallas youth program from 2010-2014

FRISCO - FC Dallas has signed Alan “AlanAvi” Avila as the club’s first eMLS player. Avila will represent FC Dallas in the EA Sports FIFA 18 competitions.

In line with FC Dallas’ tradition of signing Homegrown players, Avila played midfielder in the FC Dallas Youth program from 2010 to 2014. The Midland, Texas native played soccer collegiately at University of Texas of the Permian Basin before tearing the ACL in his right knee, his third ACL injury.

“I started playing FIFA more because it was the closest I could get to the feeling of actually playing real soccer,” Avila said. “After being seriously injured in both knees, I knew I had to find an alternative to playing soccer. FIFA was the best option. It made me feel the love and passion I had for the game even though I was injured.”

Avila won Xbox Manchester City Cup in 2017 and went 40-0 in FUT Champions in January 2018. He is currently an EA influencer and has attended FUT Live FIFA 18. He has a popular YouTube channel (YouTube.com/AlanAvi) where he plays competitively, opens Top 100 reward packs and Vlogs.

“Alan is the perfect athlete to serve as FC Dallas’ first eSports player,” said FC Dallas President Dan Hunt. “He knows the game, he’s a Homegrown and we’re excited about working with Alan to help build eMLS as the best league in North America for gamers.”
