LINEUP NOTES: FC Dallas vs. Colorado Rapids | 8.12.17

FRISCO - FC Dallas will look to jump out of their current two-game slide at home as the Colorado Rapids visit for the first of three MLS meetings this season. Let’s take a look at tonight’s lineup for the home team.

More Back Line Movement

After allowing seven goals in the last two weeks, Oscar Pareja is again trying to find the right combination at the back. Maynor Figueroa will return to the left back position for the first time since May 28th - seeing seven starts at center back during that span. With Atiba Harris jumping back into the middle with Matt Hedges, this will be the 12th back line combination Dallas has used in their last 15 matches across all competitions.

Colman and Maxi

Cristian Colman will get his first start since a two-goal performance in Montreal three weeks ago, a game in which Dallas played a 4-4-2 formation like they will tonight. It is just the second time since May 28 that both Maxi Urruti and Colman are both in the Starting XI. Both Mauro Diaz and Javier Morales are available off the bench.

Homegrown Central Midfield

For just the second time this season, both Kellyn Acosta and Victor Ulloa will start in the defensive midfield for FCD, the lone occurrence coming in a 3-0 win over Real Salt Lake on May 6. Carlos Gruezo is serving the second half of his two-game suspension and will not see a starting role for just the third time this season in league play.
