FRISCO, Texas – FC Dallas dropped a 4-0 decision to Vancouver Whitecaps FC tonight at Toyota Stadium.
 
FC Dallas fell behind, 1-0, in the 18th minute when Bernie Ibini accepted a pass from Fredy Montero on the right flank, and cut inside. Near the top of the area, Ibini fired a shot that clipped defender Victor Ulloa and crossed up FC Dallas goalkeeper Jesse Gonzalezslipping underneath the right arm of the goalkeeper to give the visitors the lead. 
 
Roland Lamah looked as if he tied the match 1-1 in the 40th minute but linesman Jonathan Johnson ruled the forward was in an offside position and the goal was disallowed. 

Ryan Hollingshead battled to win the ball back in Vancouver’s defensive third of the pitch in the 43rd minute. The FCD left back turned and curled in a cross in to Mauro DiazThe No. 10 spun his defender but was unable to get his shot past Vancouver goalkeeper David Ousted. 
 
Referee Baldomero Toledo awarded Vancouver a penalty kick in the 49th minute, after FC Dallas midfielder Kellyn Acosta cleared the ball out of the area following a header by center back Walker Zimmerman. Vancouver’s Fredy Montero collided with the U.S. international a split second after Acosta cleared the ball and Toledo pointed to the spot. Montero converted the penalty kick, sending Gonzalez to his right side before knocking a pass just inside the left post.  
 
FC Dallas midfielder Carlos Gruezo was shown a red card in the 59th minute after coming together along Dallas’ right flank with Vancouver’s Yordy Reyna. FC Dallas was forced to play a man down for the final 31 minutes of the match.
 
Vancouver took a 3-0 lead in the 67th minute when Fredy Montero came free on the left side of the area following a build-up between Tony Tchani and Matías Laba. The striker put away his second of the game, curling a shot around Gonzalez and into the back of the net.

Vancouver scored its fourth of the game off a throw-in on its right side in the 83rd minute. The quick throw was chested up in the air by Nicolas Mezquida. Close to the far post, the Uruguayan leapt into the air and bicycle-kicked a shot between the near post and through the legs of Gonzalez.
