FIVE THINGS: What to Know Ahead of #FCDvSJ

FRISCO - FC Dallas opens up a busy stretch of three games in nine days as the San Jose Earthquakes visit Frisco for the lone time in 2017 on Saturday (7 p.m., TXA 21 and Here are some things to keep in mind as you get ready for the match:

The Unbeaten Run Goes On

FC Dallas is the lone remaining unbeaten team in MLS. With a 5-0-4 record, FCD is tied for second in the West with the fewest games played and has allowed a league-low six goals on the season. Dating back to Sept. 17, 2016, Dallas undefeated in 14 straight MLS regular season matches, just five shy of the franchise-best mark of 19 games from May 27, 2010 to Oct. 10, 2010.

Millennium Mark of Helpers

The next assist on an FC Dallas goal will be the 1,000th assist in franchise history. Only four teams - Columbus, D.C., L.A. and New York - have hit the millennium mark in assists. Dallas also sits at 994 goals in franchise history, approaching the millennium mark in tallies as well.

Chris Wondolowski's next goal scored away from Avaya Stadium will be his 63rd all-time road goal, tying Landon Donovan for the MLS record. This season, the Quakes' captain has five goals and five assists, while scoring or assisting on each of SJ's last seven goals dating back to April 1.

Make 'Em Quake

Dallas is riding an eight-game unbeaten streak against San Jose dating back to a 2-1 loss at Toyota Stadium on May 31, 2014. In those matches, FCD is 4-0-4 and has outscored the Earthquakes 12-4.

Oscar Pareja has made at least one change to his Starting XI from the previous match in all but one game of 2017 across all competitions. Papi has used eight unique lineups in nine MLS matches, only using the same lineup in back-to-back games against Sporting KC and Portland at home in late April.
