LINEUP NOTES: #PACvFCD | CONCACAF Champions League Semifinal Leg Two

PACHUCA - We’re one hour from kick in the decisive Leg Two between FC Dallas and Pachuca. Lineups have been released, so let’s dive right in:

Identical XI

FC Dallas is dressing the same Starting XI for Leg Two as they did for Leg One in Frisco. Only one change comes to the entire 18 as Victor Ulloa takes the place of Paxton Pomykal on the bench. Tonight, you’ll see the new-norm 4-4-2 for Oscar Pareja and the staff with Maynor Figueroa, Matt Hedges, Walker Zimmerman and Hernan Grana holding down the back line, Kellyn Acosta and Carlos Gruezo in central midfield, Roland Lamah and Michael Barrios on the wings and Maxi Urruti and Cristian Colman up top. Chris Seitz will once again man the cage for FCD.

The Return of the Vic

Victor Ulloa will make his first 2017 appearance in an FC Dallas lineup tonight after undergoing sports hernia surgery in late January. The Homegrown midfielder has appeared in 65 MLS games for Dallas over the last two seasons, registering two goals in each.

Barrios-Grana Connection

FC Dallas attacked down the right side of the pitch more than any other team in MLS during the opening month of the 2017 regular season, and its due in large part to the budding connection between Michael Barrios and Hernan Grana. As Dallas looks for an all-important away goal in Pachuca, the overlapping runs and combination between the two are something to keep an eye on.

Morales Off the Bench

In a do-or-die CCL knockout round match, there’s not many better players to have coming off the bench than Javier Morales. The Maestro has 22 games of CCL experience and is one of just six MLS players to score in a CCL Final match. If Dallas holds a series lead late in Leg Two, it’s a safe bet Morales will be brought on to close out the match.
