FRISCO, Texas (Tuesday, Dec. 13) – FC Dallas defender Zach Loyd was selected by Atlanta United FC with the third pick in today’s MLS Expansion Draft.
Loyd, 29, was the longest tenured player on FC Dallas’ roster. Drafted fifth overall in the 2010 MLS SuperDraft, Loyd appeared in 180 league matches (third in FC Dallas history behind Jason Kreis (247) and Bobby Rhine (212)) with four goals and eight assists.
