Draw pits familiar foes against each other for quarterfinal bid
FRISCO, Texas (Thursday, June 16, 2016) – FC Dallas will host the Colorado Rapids at 7:30 p.m., on June 29 at Toyota Stadium for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Round of 16, according to this morning’s USOC draw.
The winner of the match will travel to either Kansas City or Houston to face the winner of the match between Sporting KC and the Houston Dynamo. Tickets to the match are $15 for FC Dallas season ticket members and $18 for the general public. All seats are general admission with both the West Side of the stadium and the Budweiser Beer Garden (must be 21 or older to enter the Beer Garden) open for the match.
FC Dallas defeated Oklahoma City Energy FC in a penalty shootout at SMU’s Westcott Field Wednesday night to advance in the tournament. The two sides played to a 2-2 draw through 120 minutes before Dallas gained a 6-5 advantage in penalties to punch its ticket to the next round.
