FC Dallas signs 2016 draft picks, goalkeeper Ryan Herman and midfielder Timo Pitter

FRISCO, Texas (Monday, Feb. 29, 2016) – FC Dallas has signed goalkeeper Ryan Herman, the 17th overall selection in last month’s MLS SuperDraft and midfielder Timo Pitter (33rd overall), pending the receipt of his ITC and P-1 Visa, the club announced today.

Herman, 22, was a third team NSCAA All-America selection and first team All-Pac 12 Conference selection at the University of Washington where he finished third in the nation with a save percentage of 87.6. After beginning his collegiate career at Santa Clara, the 6-7 goalkeeper transferred to the University of Washington in 2013, where he immediately led the conference in goals against average. In 2015, he once again led the Pac-12 with a 0.63 goals against average and 85 saves.

Pitter, 23, played four seasons at Creighton, appearing in 89 career matches with 33 goals and 22 assists. Following the 2015 season, the German midfielder earned NSCAA First Team All-America honors and was the Big East Conference Midfielder of the Year and a MAC-Hermann Trophy Semifinalist.
