Preseason 2016

PRESEASON: FC Dallas defeats New England 2-1 behind two goals from Timo Pitter

FC Dallas opened the 2016 preseason schedule with a 2-1 victory over the New England Revolution in Casa Grande, Arizona with 2016 draft pick Timo Pitter scoring both goals.

Playing a mix of first team, academy, trialists and draft picks, FCD opened the scoring in the 24th minute as Pitter received a feed from Ryan Hollingshead, curling a ball to the far post past goalkeeper Brad Knighton to put Dallas in front.

Pitter doubled the FCD lead in the second half on a nearly identical goal to the first one, taking another feed from Hollingshead and slotting home with his left foot to score his second goal of the preseason.

Steve Neumann pulled one back for the Revolution in the 48th minute, but FCD held on for the final ten minutes of the 60-minute match to notch a victory in the opening match of the 2016 preseason.

FC Dallas will train in Casa Grande for the rest of the week before returning to Frisco on Monday.
