FC Dallas closes out 2016 MLS SuperDraft with Two Picks

FC Dallas closed out the 2016 MLS SuperDraft on Tuesday afternoon with selctions in the 3rd and 4th Rounds. 

With the fourth pick in the 3rd Round (45th Overall), Dallas selected forward Colin Bonner out of the University of North Carolina-Wilmington. In his 2015 campaign, the Baltimore, Md. native scored 7 goals and 6 assists in 19 games played. He was also named a NSCAA First Team All-Midwest Region selection last season. In the 4th Round with the 17th pick (78th Overall), FCD picked close to home in Mansfield-native Jacob Speed out of SMU. The 6-foot-3,165-pound defender completed his senior season in 2015 playing in 22 games and picking up two assists. 

Bonner and Speed join 1st and 2nd Round selections in goalkeeper Ryan Herman and midfielder Timo Pitter as FCD's four picks in the 2016 SuperDraft. 

FC Dallas preseason begins later this week with players reporting to Frisco later this week.
