WATCH: Smith sends Bruins to College Cup

Taylor Smith, a Fort Worth native and member of FCD's U-23 ECNL squad last summer, scored the biggest goal of her life, firing in the game-winner in double overtime to defeat reigning national champion #1 North Carolina in Chapel Hill. The win was UCLA's first-ever over the 21-time national champions and was Smith's eighth goal of the season and third in the postseason. UCLA had been eliminated by UNC in each of the last four NCAA tournaments and the win sets up UCLA's ninth trip to the College Cup where they will face off against Virginia at 6:30PM on ESPNU.

Mikey Ambrose - Maryland Sophomore Defender

The Maryland Terrapins are headed to the NCAA Quarterfinal round for the ninth time in the last 12 years after defeating UC-Irvine 1-0 in College Park on Sunday through the 16th goal of the season from star senior Patrick Mullins. Sophomore outside back Mikey Ambrose has been a key cog of the Terrapin defense having started all but one game this season. Ambrose has four assists, tied for fourth-most on the team. Maryland travels to face the #4 seed Cal Bears on Saturday afternoon at 3:30PM looking for their second straight appearance in the College Cup(WATCH LIVE HERE).
