FC Dallas Academy Update: Week 5

FRISCO, Texas - The busiest two-week stretch of the season featuring four games in nine days for the Academy wrapped up last weekend with some fantastic matches against Texas Rush and the Colorado Rapids. Here's all the results:

FC Dallas Under-18's: 4

Texas Rush Under-18's: 0

In the first game of the weekend, the U-18's roared to a 4-0 win over Austin-area club Texas Rush. Alex Radilla, Antonio Aguilar, Yannick Koffi and Coy Craft scored for FCD in the win that also saw highly-rated center back Jordan Cano make his first start of the season as he returns from an injury.

Colorado Rapids Under-18's: 1

In the second game of the weekend, FCD learned a hard lesson tying the Rapids 1-1. Ethan Sonis scored for Luchi Gonzalez's men in a game that they dominated for most of the match but conceded a late goal. (Click here to view a Facebook photo album from Sunday's match)

Texas Rush Under-16's: 2

Irvin Dominguez scored twice while Christian Ramirez added a third goal in the 3-2 win over Texas Rush, a game in which FCD allowed two late goals.

Colorado Rapids Under-16's: 0

Playing a completely different starting lineup from the previous day's game against Texas Rush, FCD U-16's won their sixth game out of seven this year through an own goal in the 47th minute.

FC Dallas Under-15's: 1

Texas Rush Under-15's: 0

Paco Barragan scored for the FCD U-15's who won their fifth game out of six this season. The U-15's have shut out their last five opponents in TPAL play.

FC Dallas Under-14's: 1

Texas Rush Under-14's: 0

Abelardo Escalante scored his third goal of the season for the U-14's who won their fourth game of the season.

FC Dallas Under-13's: 1

Texas Rush Under-13's: 2

The U-13's lost their first game of the season on Sunday falling 2-1 to Texas Rush. Jesus Ferreira scored for FCD in the loss.

FC Dallas Under-12's: 4

Texas Rush Under-12's: 3

Johan Gomez, Thomas Roberts, Anthony Garcia and an own goal propelled the Under-12's to a win over Texas Rush.
