FC Dallas Academy Update: Week 20

FRISCO, Texas –  The FC Dallas Academy returned to action last weekend with key matches against local rivals Dallas Texans played across all age groups. The U18s and U16s also had matches on Sunday against the Colorado Rapids. 

FC Dallas U-18s: 1
Dallas Texans: 1

The Under-18s began the weekend with hard-fought 1-1 draw with the Dallas Texans. Yannick Koffi opened the scoring for FCD early in the match, but went into halftime tied. Goalkeeper Caleb Underwood made a huge double save in the second half to preserve the point for FC Dallas which kept Texans five points behind them in the standings. 


FC Dallas U-18s: 3
Colorado Rapids: 1

A first-half red card doomed the Rapids as FC Dallas came out on top 3-1. Diego De La Tejera scored the first goal while Bobby Edet and Yannick Koffi rounded out the scoring.

With three games remaining, FC Dallas sits 2 points up on Solar Chelsea with three games remaining in the season. 


FC Dallas U-16s: 3
Dallas Texans: 1

Jose Salas opened the scoring for FC Dallas against the Dallas Texans with a screamer from 30 yards out, but FCD went into halftime tied 1-1. They produced one of their best halves of the season in the second half finding goals from Coy Craft and Eric Davies to seal a vital 3-1 win.


FC Dallas U-16s: 4
Colorado Rapids: 0

In the second match of the weekend, Jose Salas scored twice within the first 20 minute to jump FCD out to a quick 2-0 lead. They cruised to victory with goals from Santiago Agudelo and Coy Craft sealing the 4-0 win. 

FC Dallas leads the USSDA Frontier Division by just one point with three matches left.


FC Dallas U-15s: 0
Dallas Texans: 1

The FCD U-15s fell to their first defeat of the season, dropping a 1-0 result to the Dallas Texans. The Texans goal was just the 5th allowed by the U-15s this season who sit tied with the Houston Dynamo for first place in the TPAL, though FCD has three games remaining, one more than Houston. 


FC Dallas U-14s: 1
Dallas Texans: 1

The U-14s drew Dallas Texans 1-1 with Alex Zendajas finding the net for FC Dallas. FCD leads their division by four points with two games remaining. 


FC Dallas U-13s: 1
Dallas Texans: 0

The U-13s defeated Dallas Texans 1-0 on a goal from Abelardo Martinez. They also lead their division by four points with two games to play.

Saturday is a special day for the academy as we host Academy Day at FC Dallas Stadium. The Under-18s and Under-16s are inviting everyone to come watch them play inside FC Dallas Stadium against Real Colorado.
