The U-18s made it three straight wins to start the season, registering a 1-0 win over their Lonestar counterparts. Midfielder Flavio Guzman scored the early game winner in the 15th minute of the match and Home Grown goalkeeper Richard Sanchez played the full 90 in the shutout for the U-18s. The win put FC Dallas in first place in the Texas Division standings with nine points.

The FC Dallas U-16 Academy team suffered their first loss of the season following the U-18 win. They were shut out 2-0, with Lonestar midfielder Benjamin Joseph and defender Malik Morgan tallying in the match. The U-16s currently sit in third place in the Texas Division, behind frontrunners the Dallas Texans and second place Texans SC Houston.

The U-15 Pre Academy team remained undefeated through their first three matches, shutting out the Lonestar U-15s 2-0. FC Dallas benefitted from second half goals by Santiago Agudelo Salazar and James Olmos in the win. Both players notched their first goals of the season in Sunday’s victory.

The U-14s extended their shutout streak to 270 minutes when they beat Lonestar 4-0 over the weekend. Alejandro Martinez started the scoring with his first of the season in the 12th minute, and Jessi Najera doubled the lead in the 39th minute with his second goal of the year.

Weston McKennie continued his dominant run of form, bagging a brace in a two minute timespan late in the match. McKennie now has six goals through the season’s first three games, having posted a goal against Andromeda last week and a hat trick against Classics Elite in the season opener.

After outscoring their first two opponents 13-0, the FC Dallas U-13 Pre Academy team dropped their first game of the year to the Lonestar U-13s by a score of 4-1. Damian Hernandez followed up his two-goal performance from the previous weekend by tallying his third of the year in the loss.

The FC Dallas Academy and Pre Academy teams will return to the fields at Pizza Hut Park this Saturday when they host local rivals Dallas Texans SC.
