Quinn backs FCD on the road vs. KC for "Get In and Win" Charity Challenge

FRISCO, Texas (Sept. 24, 2010) – Unable to cash in for the Frisco Family YMCA the past three games, FC Dallas President and CEO Doug Quinn is taking on Kansas City Wizards President Robb Heineman tomorrow in the “Get In and Win Charity Challenge.”

An FC Dallas victory would require Heineman to fork over four FCD 2011 tickets to the Frisco Family YMCA. Should FC Dallas lose for the first time in 17 games, Quinn must purchase four 2011 Kansas City Wizards season tickets for the Lance Armstrong Foundation and Livestrong Army of Kansas City.

The “Get In and Win Charity Challenge” has already produced 10 tickets for Dallas charities since Aug. 21. Quinn intends to carry on his charitable ticket donations for the remaining 2010 FC Dallas games.

This week Quinn chose the Frisco YMCA, an organization of men, women and children joined together by a shared commitment to nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living and fostering a sense of social responsibility.

Quinn first pledged four 2011 season tickets to the Frisco Miracle League, courtesy of childhood friend and Chivas USA President Shawn Hunter. The two wagered the charitable donation on the outcome of the Aug. 21 match between their two sides, which saw Dallas finish on top 1-0. Dallas continued its hot-streak by breaking the all-time MLS record for a road unbeaten streak with a draw in Columbus on Aug. 28. Following the match, Quinn donated four 2011 season tickets to Lift Up America. Quinn then sent the Dallas branch of Dress for Success two 2011 season tickets as FC Dallas defeated Toronto FC 1-0 on Sept. 4.

The club’s “Get In and Win” season ticket campaign delivers huge savings to new and returning season ticket holders. Anyone who renews or purchases 2011 season tickets before Monday, Oct. 4 will receive either a 30-40 percent discount on the 2010 pricing for 2011 season tickets, or a free seat upgrade.

FC Dallas returns to Pizza Hut Park on Oct. 2 when they take on the Chicago Fire and a win in Kansas City would create an opportunity for FC Dallas to clinch a playoff berth in that match. The Oct. 2 game is also Collin County Community Night, where all students in the Allen, Plano, McKinney and Frisco school districts receive a free ticket. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Central Time.

As always, drink specials in the beer garden include $2 beers and $4 margaritas and wine through halftime.
