UEFA Champions League winners Inter Milan are headed to America.
FC Dallas will host Europe’s newly crowned champions on Aug. 5 at Pizza Hut Park, according to the Texas club's website, adding another high-profile exhibition matchup to the league’s growing list of summer showdowns.
Inter won their first UEFA Champions League title since 1965 on Saturday at Santiago Bernabéu stadium in Madrid, using two goals from Argentine forward Diego Milito to top Bayern Munich, 2-0. Inter became just the sixth European club to win a treble, capturing the Serie A league crown and the Coppa Italia before securing the Champions League title.
Dallas will make an official announcement on Monday. Inter join a list of historic European clubs headed stateside in the next three months, including Manchester United, Juventus, Manchester City, AC Milan and Tottenham Hotspur.
