FC Dallas signed Edwin Cerrillo as the club's 24th Homegrown player on February 14, 2019.
2019: Had 11 starts in 12 MLS appearances, recorded one assist in 918 minutes played. Made his MLS debut on March 9 after subbing on in the 79th minute of the 2-0 win against LA Galaxy. Started in his first FC Dallas game on March 23 vs. Colorado Rapids at Toyota Stadium. Recorded his first MLS assist in the 2-1 win on April 20 vs. Atlanta United FC in the 84th minute. Appeared in both Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup matches, playing 109 minutes. Named to 2019 MLS Homegrown Game roster by Orlando City Academy Director Marcelo Neveleff. Captained the team in the first half of the MLS Homegrown game against CD Guadalajara U-20, where MLS won 3-0 in a penalty shootout, following a 2-2 draw in regular time on July 30, 2019. Made his first MLS playoff appearance in the 108th minute of the 4-3 loss to Seattle Sounders FC on October 19 at CenturyLink Field. Appeared in seven matches for North Texas Soccer Club, recording 558 minutes.
2019: Received first call-up to U.S. U-20 National Team for the U-20 World Cup in Poland but did not make an appearance during the tournament. Appeared in an international friendly against Uruguay U-20 National Team on May 18, playing the full 90-minutes. Received call-up to U.S. U-23 National Team for September FIFA window. Subbed in the second half of the Olympic Qualifying Preparation Match against Japan on September 9 where the U-23s won 2-0.
Joined the FCD Academy in 2015. Scored 12 goals in 71 U.S. Soccer Development Academy matches since. Cerrillo scored in the 2016-17 U-16 Development Academy National Final in a 2-1 loss to Atlanta United FC.
