FRISCO, Texas - Luchi makes two changes from last week's lineup as FC Dallas travels to face Real Salt Lake at Rio Tinto Stadium tonight, Oct. 24 at 8:30PM.
Barrios & Santos Return
Winger Michael Barrios returns after missing last week's match in Nashville due to yellow card accumulation. The reliable Colombian slots immediately back in at right wing to give width to Dallas' formation and provide runs in behind Salt Lake's backline. Thiago Santos also returns to the starting lineup in his usual defensive midfield spot after being used as a substitute last time out.
Hedges Makes the Bench
Defender Matt Hedges is on the bench tonight after missing the last two games with a muscle strain he sustained in the Texas Derby earlier this month. While he's not starting, Dallas' all-time appearance leader could provide extra defensive cover as a sub if Luchi's men need to protect a lead late in the game.
Ferreira Swaps Wings
Forward Jesús Ferreira remains in the starting XI for the second straight week. It's the US international's first consecutive run of starts since he featured from kickoff in three-straight games during late August and early September. Unlike last week, however, Ferreira swaps sides and lines up at left wing as the incoming Barrios retakes his favored right side.
Starting XI: Jimmy Maurer; Ryan Hollingshead, Bryan Reynolds, Reto Ziegler, Bressan, Tanner Tessmann, Thiago Santos, Andrés Ricaurte; Michael Barrios, Franco Jara, Jesús Ferreira.
Substitutes — Phelipe Megiolaro, John Nelson, Thiago Santos, Callum Montgomery, Matt Hedges, Fafa Picault, Brandon Servania, Dante Sealy, Ema Twumasi, Ricardo Pepi
