FRISCO, Texas – Luchi continues to rotate his lineup as FC Dallas travels to face Atlanta United tonight, Sept 23 at 6PM CT at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Let's dive a little deeper into today's Starting XI in Lineup Notes, pres. by UnitedHealthcare.
Midfielder Andrés Ricaurte starts against Atlanta after getting a rest during FC Dallas' last match away to Sporting Kansas City. It's the Colombian's third MLS start and he'll look to the pull the strings from Dallas' midfield once again. Ricaurte hit the ground running since signing for the club last month, registering one goal and one assist in just 188 minutes of game time so far.
Forward Jesús Ferreira gets the start tonight after remaining on the bench for the previous three games. It's also the first time this season that he begins the game in the center forward position. He's typically lined up on the wing or as an attacking midfielder this season, but tonight he'll lead the line as we saw during the 2019 season. Ferreira opened the scoring for FCD the last time the team visited Atlanta at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and he'll be looking to replicate that again this evening.
Bressan in for Ziegler
Defender Bressan steps into the back four in place of captain Reto Ziegler. Ziegler didn't travel with the team to Atlanta as he's dealing with a minor muscle strain. Bressan has featured often this season either from the start or off the bench. It's the Brazilian's fourth start of the season and his first in three games.

Substitutes — Phelipe Megiolaro, Bryan Reynolds, Nkosi Burgess, Eddie Munjoma, Santiago Mosquera, Dante Sealy, Thomas Roberts, Ricardo Pepi, Franco Jara
