FRISCO - North Texas SC forward Oscar Romero was named to USL League One Team of the Week for his performances in the club's week 28 matchup against FC Tucson on Friday, October 4th. This was Romero’s first Team of the Week Nomination.
Romero has been used primarily as an impact substitute this year for North Texas SC, making, with half of his appearances coming off the bench. However, Romero’s performance in Arizona will give Head Coach Eric Quill some selection questions this weekend against Forward Madison. Romero scored a brace on Friday, including the eventual game winning goal. Romero was clinical with his finishing, as he scored two goals with only two shots. He also did an excellent job supporting the other forwards on the team, registering a 85% passing accuracy.
