Chip Dutchik's Involvement with Special Olympics Leads to 2019 MLS Community MVP Finalist Position

FRISCO, Texas- Chip Dutchik has been named as a 2019 MLS Works Community MVP finalist. Each Community MVP finalist will receive two tickets to a 2019 MLS regular season match in their local market, a trip to MLS All-Star week in Orlando and a $1,000 donation for their selected charity. The winner will be announced during the All-Star Game Halftime ceremony with a grand prize of $25,000 to a charity of their choice.

Chip Dutchik has used his love of soccer to impact his community in many ways. Chip is a leader of the FC Dallas Special Olympics Unified Academy as well as a head coach for Dallas Baptist University. The FC Dallas Special Olympics Unified Academy practices throughout the year by pairing a special Olympic athlete with a unified partner to challenge the stigma around mental disabilities and promote and build friendships.

Due to his position as a coach the Special Olympics team has trained with the college athletes as well. It has allowed them to make connections and build friendships in different environments. Chip has also used soccer to help worldwide through mission trips including one where he took his team to Spain.
