FC Dallas came out strong at the beginning of the second half taking the lead over Lonestar with a goal off the penalty kick by Jaedyn Shaw in the 54th minute. Lonestar responded about 10 minutes later tying it back up 2-2 through the rest of regulation time.
The strong FC defense performance sent the match into extra time where both teams fought hard to try and get the lead. Eventually Lonestar Academy scored their third goal, and FC Dallas had some close opportunities but couldn’t quite close the gap. At the end of extra time FC Dallas fell 3-2 and will compete on Thursday for third place against Beach Futbol Club.
