U-15 Semifinal Recap

Girls U-15s Fall to Colorado Rush U-15s in Semifinals

FRISCO, Texas- The U-15s finished their playoff progression in the semifinals of academy playoffs as they fell 2-0 against Colorado Rush.

The game was tough as Colorado got on the scoreboard early in the first half, and held their lead in to halftime. FC Dallas defended strongly but couldn’t shut down the attack when Colorado scored their second goal in the second half.

Overall the U-15s had a great playoff run winning every match up until this point by scoring at least 3 goals in every game. FC Dallas went in to the playoffs ranked as the 6th seed. Throughout playoffs Taylor Zdrojewski and other key players helped to keep FC Dallas in contention with a high number of goals each match.

Head coach Aaron Gordon said, “Our FCD 04Girls DA have played at a high level all season long and has proved to be one of the best teams in the country. Competing for a National Championship was a goal we set for ourselves at the beginning of the year. Though we fell one game short, I could not be more proud of our team and how these young women represented our club.”

The U-15 girls will compete for third place in California before returning to Frisco and ending their 2018-2019 season.
