FRISCO, Texas- FC Dallas U-17 team lost a tough game to Solar Soccer Club U-17 team as they fell 3-2 in an overtime loss. Although they were down to 10 men for most of the match, FC Dallas pushed the match into extra time, but they could not find a third opportunity after Solar scored in the 100th minute.
Solar took an early lead in the 5th minute when Bailey Sparks curled it over the FC Dallas wall and into the top corner. However, FC Dallas responded quickly equalizing the score in the 9th minute. Things took a turn for the worse when FC Dallas's goalkeeper was sent off in the 40th minute for a professional foul, but after a few scares the game went into halftime all tied up at 1-1.

Right after the second half began, Solar Soccer Club was again ahead after JP Jordan scored after he ghosted into the box and found himself unmarked from 10 yards, heading past the FC Dallas goalkeeper. FC Dallas rallied, and they were able to tie the game when David Rodriquez whipped an unstoppable free kick into the corner in the 75th minute, which sent the game to extra time.

Although FC Dallas fought doggedly, the pressure of the extra man eventually told when Bailey Sparks scored his second in the 100th minute of play, a tap in after a save from Jack Waterman. FC Dallas searched for an equalizer but eventually Solar Soccer Club's U-17 team were the one's celebrating as they advanced to the next round.
