FRISCO, Texas- FC Dallas’s U-15 team recorded a 2-1 victory over the Strikers U-15 on Sunday to continue their fine form. The amount of substitutions and changes that FC Dallas made while maintaining a high level of play helped highlight the depth that the U-15 team has.
FC Dallas started the game on the front foot and were rewarded with the first goal in the 27th minute, a tidy finish by Diego Hernandez, who led the line for FC Dallas all 80 minutes. This goal set the tone for a first half where FC Dallas were a step ahead of their counterparts. However, FC Dallas U-15s could not find a second goal in the first half.
In the second half, an aggressive start paid dividends. Gonzalo Agustoni-Chagas found the much needed second goal for FC Dallas right after the restart, putting the ball in the back of the net in the 47th minute. It would turn out to be an important goal, as opposing striker Luca Fava cut the deficit 5 minutes later, setting up the potential for a tense finish. However, a variety of subs allowed FC Dallas to disrupt the flow to the game and collected a well earned victory.
