INTERNATIONAL: Adonijah Reid Starts and Plays 45 Minutes in Canada's 2-1 Loss Against Panama

FRISCO – After winning its first two group stage matches, Canada suffered a setback in the third of five group stage matches, losing 2-1 against Panama in the Concacaf U-20 Championship.

Adonijah Reid started the match for Canada and was subbed out at halftime. He completed all six of his passes while in the match, but Canada was playing more defensive after Michael Baldisimo was handed a red card in the 24th minute.

Reid now has one goal and one assist in the tournament.

The loss puts Canada three points behind Panama, with only two matches left in the group stage.

Canada needs to come in first in the group to advance to the second round and have a chance to qualify for the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Canada will plays St. Kitts and Nevis on Thursday. St. Kitts and Nevis is the only winless team left in Group D, but has not been getting blown out in games. It has lost all three of its matches by one goal.
