FRISCO - It was a big night for FC Dallas, but it was an even bigger night for the club’s longest-tenured player.
Not only did Victor Ulloa become the seventh Homegrown in MLS history and the first Homegrown in FCD history to reach 10,000 minutes played - just the 14th player in total to hit the mark for the club - but he celebrated with his first goal in nearly two years en route to a 2-0 win over Orlando City.
"I feel special to reach a milestone like that, it wasn’t easy,” the Homegrown said. “I’ve worked my butt off and nobody’s given me anything. I’ve done everything by sacrifice, hard work and with the support of my family and my coaches. Very happy and special night for me to be a part of this club and this moment.”
To cap it all off, the goal scorer and father-to-be was able to celebrate both occasions at once.
“I dedicated it to my baby and my wife,” Ulloa said. “We’re expecting our first baby boy and I’m just happy to dedicate it to them.”
